This event, organised by 'Determined to Succeed' focused on the development of entrepreneurial teaching. Presentations were made on 'what is an entrepreneur' and 'what is entrepreneurial learning' by DTS staff.
Dr Jonathan Levie from the Hunter Centre at Strathclyde University, gave a very interesting talk on recent research which amongst other things indicated that delivering entrepreneurial learning to all made the greatest contribution to change.
There then followed a series of workshops with EthCo presenting four sessions to a large number of teaching staff and local Authority representatives, who expressed great interest in the work.
In the afternoon a presentation from Ryan Longmuir, managing director of Regis Banqueting gave an inspirational presentation on making the difference.
There are a series of half day follow up sessions planned where delegates are expected to indicate what their next steps are going to be.
