EthCo was represented at the Scottish Learning Festival on its stand near the local Authority village and had a fantastic response over the two days.
The EthCo materials were on display and packs containing the three tasks and the 'butterfly challenge' were given out to over 600 visitors. A number of these gave school information to Dave and Ian as they were interested in giving the tasks a go, and they will be contacted in the next few weeks to see if any help is needed.
The girls from Oban High School were on the stand and performed the EthCo song every half hour as well as helping with the visitors.
As part of this the girls conducted a survey asking about the millenium goals, and judging from the very low number who had even heard of them, Ethco has a big job to do and is much needed and well timed.
The link to the Curriculum for Excellence was very well received by teachers who recognised and appreciated this aid to curriculum planning.
We now have a number of schools using the tasks this year and look forward to adding their materials to this website.
