6. World of Conflict and War
The content of this task can be adapted to suit any Curriculum for Excellence Level.
It is said that in the 20th century, not only were there two World Wars, but there was not a day without a war somewhere in the World. This task looks at the Millennium Development Goals and the effect of conflict and war on the countries of the World. It also explores the causes of conflict, and the effects, both on the ordinary peoples of the world and on their circumstances. The task also looks at recovery within a country after a period of conflict, and the impact of that conflict on the population. Global finances, and the impact and ethics of international Companies are considered, along with the impact conflicts have on international trade.
