The content of this task can be adapted to suit any Curriculum for Excellence Level.
Pupils will gain an understanding of what is meant by “reproductive health”, the issues – direct and indirect - which arise both in Scotland and elsewhere in the World, with particular attention to developing countries, how these issues affect themselves, their peers, and the wider World, what is being done to ameliorate reproductive health here and elsewhere, what has been done, and what it is envisaged still needs to be done, directly and indirectly, where the present programme is leading, and the time-scale for implementation under the Millennium Development Goals. It is envisaged that at the conclusion of this task, pupils will have a greater awareness aims of the specific MDG involved here, and of how reproductive health issues affect themselves, to allow them to make more informed choices.

However further research should be undertaken when working the task.
