12. Equality and the MDGs
The content of this task can be adapted to suit any Curriculum for Excellence Level.
One of the Millennium Development Goals concerns ‘Gender Equality’. This task sets out to explore equality in the broader sense in Scotland and in other parts of the world. Pupils will look at the issues involved in equality, the reasons behind inequality, and the history of equality and inequality around the world. Pupils will then debate the issues to arrive at a broader understanding of equality and the need for the specific Millennium Development Goal, and its impact on the Developing World.
